Why Do We Lie About Our Age?
Young. Middle-aged. Old.
We all do it— rounding numbers, redefining what “counts.”
This promotional campaign for Age Friendly Edmonton™ used a simple, human question to explore how age shapes identity, perception, and belonging. By challenging the quiet discomfort many of us have with aging, the message reframed age not as a limitation, but as lived experience—worthy of respect, safety, and inclusion.
Built to support a citywide initiative focused on the well-being of seniors, the campaign translated public policy into relatable human impact through honest storytelling and accessible messaging. At its core was a powerful truth: when seniors feel valued and supported, the entire community grows stronger—at every age.
Launching a Broadcast Icon to a New Audience
Directed, produced, and edited the launch campaign for Corus Radio’s CHQR Traffic 1 helicopter, expanding brand awareness and daily news relevance across new listener segments.
While the helicopter was already a critical news-gathering asset, much of its true value was unseen by the audience. This campaign reframed the aircraft from a technical tool into a trusted, everyday presence—a newsroom in the sky delivering real-time information that listeners could rely on.
By translating capability into credibility, the launch strengthened CHQR’s connection with its audience, increased visibility for daily coverage, and reinforced the station’s role as an essential part of the community’s daily routine.
Behind the Headlines: Turning News Into a Brand Experience
Directed, produced, and edited a 30-second flagship branding campaign for the Corus Radio Group, unifying multiple markets through flexible, market-specific creative—while reducing production costs and generating new internal revenue.
Built on the idea that news is more than information—it’s the heartbeat of a community—Behind the Headlines pulled audiences inside the story. The campaign delivered high-energy, locally resonant branding for each market while maintaining a cohesive national identity, creating a brand experience that felt immediate, authentic, and unmistakably Corus.
